From the Incharge's Desk
Nabagram Hiralal Paul College is proud to announce the commencement of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) program, an esteemed initiative sponsored by the Government of India. The NCC aims to instill a spirit of service, discipline, and leadership among the youth of our nation by offering free military training to eligible young men. This training, which focuses on building physical strength, leadership skills, and national service, comes without any post-training service obligation.
The key objectives of the NCC training at our college are:
1. Character and Leadership Development: To cultivate qualities of leadership, comradeship, discipline, and service, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to society.
2. National Service and Defence Training: To inspire cadets with a deep sense of patriotism and to stimulate their interest in national defense, preparing them with critical survival and military skills.
3. Building a Reserve of Potential Officers: To create a trained pool of individuals who can serve as officers in the armed forces during national emergencies.
The rigorous training provided in the NCC program will help cadets develop strong physical and mental endurance, ensuring they emerge as responsible and confident individuals.
Key Features of the NCC Program:
Uniforms and Allowances: All enrolled cadets will be provided with uniforms free of charge, along with allowances for refreshment and washing. Cadets must take utmost care in maintaining the government-issued uniforms. Any damage will be the responsibility of the cadet, and they will bear the cost of replacements.
B and C Certificates: The ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificates are highly prestigious credentials that hold significant value both within and beyond the NCC framework:
The ‘B’ Certificate is awarded to cadets who have completed a set period of training and demonstrated competence in basic military skills. It is recognized by various defense organizations and is often a prerequisite for cadets aiming for leadership roles or further specialized training within the armed forces.
The ‘C’ Certificate is awarded to senior cadets who have completed advanced training. Holding a ‘C’ Certificate is considered a mark of excellence and is highly regarded by the Indian Armed Forces, making cadets eligible for certain advantages in defense recruitment and admissions to defense training academies.
Special Opportunities for Smart and Capable Cadets: Exceptional cadets will have the opportunity to participate in Adventure Courses, All India Advance Leadership Camps, Summer Training Camps, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute Training, and even be selected for the Republic Day Parade contingent in New Delhi.
We encourage all eligible students to take full advantage of this prestigious opportunity. The NCC program at Nabagram Hiralal Paul College will not only help shape students into capable leaders but will also offer them invaluable experiences that will aid in their personal and professional development.
